5G and Coronavirus (Covid-19) The Coronavirus (Covid-19) and other Pandemics will be a catalyst for the continued uptake of Mobile Broadband 5G communication and Services. Enterprises and SMEs (Small / Medium Enterprises) will have a focus on having their employees working from home or in remote locations. As organisations are now 24/7, business continuity is now key. 5G CSPs - Communication Service Providers - can use “Network Slices” to setup and configure “just in time” communication for the SMEs with an agreed Quality of Service (QoS) profile. Just in time Mobile Networks can be built thanks to 5G Core Network that supports a full Virtualisation layer. This means that the Network is now built as a Software layer and is hosted within a Cloud "framework".
